North Mission Beach Restaurants
North Mission Beach has a little bit of everything and that includes when it comes to dining out. The area from Santa Clara to Zanzibar offers at least 12 different restaurants, and if you head south towards the roller coaster and south Mission, or north of Pacific Beach Drive the options only become more available. The following list only covers eating establishments in North Mission Beach ranging from Santa Clara north to the just before the Catamaran Resort and Spa.

Swell Cafe offers some of the best coffee in San Diego and some delicious breakfast items and pastries with a very nice open air patio on Mission Blvd.
Better Buzz Coffee

Chain located just south of Queenstown Court offering a nice variety of coffees and self described treats including scones, bagels, French Pastries, Muffins and more.
The Mission cafe

The Mission Cafe is one of the more popular breakfast establishments at the beach. You will often find a line well out the door for weekend breakfasts. They are particularly well known for their flavor infused pancakes and their menu items tend to be a bit above the par by breakfast standards.
The Olive Cafe

Located on Santa Clara and Mission on the bayside, the Olive offers up a nice variety of breakfast and lunch fare and also has an ice cream shop attached.

The closest thing to a traditional deli in North Mission Beach, Rubicon offers up tasty sandwiches.
Chop Shop Teriyako

Chop Shop Teriyaki in Mission Beach San Diego serves up fresh teriyaki bowls and plates, yakisoba plates, salads, teriyaki burgers, fried rice and lettuce wraps.
La Playa Taco Shop

Long time Mexican restaurant located just south of the Catamaran. Offers typical Mexican fast food.
3741 Mission Blvd
Pizza, Pasta and Lasagna at reasonable prices. Pizza is offered by the pie or the slice.

The newest establishment to take on this often changing location, they offer up a variety of bar food, and some unique looking items such as Creamy Bacon Brussels Sprouts and Peking Mango Duck Duck Greens, as well as sandwiches and specialty items.

A popular destination for the late night crowd and weekend football, Guava Beach also offers a variety of menu items with breakfast on weekends and lunch dinner items 7 days per week.
Saska’s Steak and Seafood

The granddaddy of the Mission Beach restaurants, Saska’s is best known for their steaks, but also offers excellent seafood and sushi. They are generally open late in case the hunger comes on after the typical dinner restaurants are shut down.
